-JOB DESCRIPTION-
The Project Manager will be responsible for the timely delivery and implementation of cost-effective, quality products to our customers (internal and external). This person will provide overall project management and leadership to multidisciplinary teams to deliver within a committed budget and schedule. This person will work with customers, business technology teams in different geographical locations to ensure agreement of business requirements and system design, preparation and management of project plans, and successful testing and implementation. Success will depend on effective collaborative management skill and ability to get the best from all groups, even when working remotely and under pressure.
-JOB QUALIFICATIONS-
- Bachelor’s degree in business or scientific discipline plus 1-2 years experience required
- Working knowledge of J2EE and .NET, HTTP Protocols, HTML, and JavaScript
- Excellent analytical skills for identifying problems and problem-solving skills
- Confident and assertive communicator, able to persuade others to a course of action
- Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible in exercising judgement in a dynamic environment and to manage competing priorities
- Highly motivated with a proven ability to drive projects to a successful and timely conclusion
- Ability to effectively deal with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Sound and timely decision making ability
- Ability to work proactively and independently
- Ability to multi-task and work to tight timelines
- Negotiation and issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders
- Have a good understanding of project and personal deliverables and deliver within timeframes
- Well developed presentation skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 2+ years experience in managing technology based products
- Solid background in Earned Value Management
-JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-
- Manage end-to-end by overseeing the project through the complete lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution, implementation/rollout, and close. Lead all aspects of project delivery including, but not limited to, project scope, deliverables, estimates, quality, detailed project plans and change requests
- Develop tasks and responsibility schedules, including resource requirements. Identify the necessary people and technical resources to meet project commitments, and gain approval from the functional managers
- Manage multiple projects effectively
- Monitor team activities and track progress against plan to ensure committed deliverables are met. Identify delays, budget or quality concerns so they can be proactively addressed.
- Work with project team members, internal customers and external customers to identify and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Proactively manage and resolve project issues/risks. Maintain issue log and delivery to the project plan. Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team
- Maintain and uphold strict change management principles, disciplines, proactive measures and procedures, as required, to ensure the expected quality is delivered or exceeded
- Ensure project team and external customers are provided with appropriate, timely and accurate project information and status updates
- Apply technology/product knowledge to address customers’ needs
- Provide direction and guidance to project team members.
- Manage priorities and issues where conflicts arise
- Facilitate interaction amongst groups
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and implement lessons learned as necessary
- Complete all necessary documentation for reporting status of project and explaining any variances
- Proactively identify needs in regards to resourcing and resource allocation
